Originally
started up as a warm up comic before diving back to work on the
second volume of
Dark Signs,
Manga Superhero Space Opera Monkei was eventually submitted into
Tokyopop;'s
Rising Stars of Manga 6. Since it is here, that can only
mean one thing, that it did not win. The manga does leave an
open ending at the end, planned just in case it won and they
actually asked Tom to continue this one-shot. The manga is
presented in the original color version that Tom had, instead of
the black and white graytone sent into the contest. |
