The scene was clean, there was nothing on there but the DNA of
the deceased, scattered here and there in forms of fallen hair,
pieces of dead skin.
Ryo was amazed and didn't know what to say. Even though Eiji
wasn't able to provide them with any clues as to how he died, he
as at least there to give them a reason to continue finding
clues about how he died. Now with his body gone, Ryo felt as
empty as the metal table that once sustained the body.
"Do you want us to start a search for it?" Some rookie asked
behind Ryo, his tone mixed with syrups of uncertainty.
"I doubt there's a chance we're going to find it." Ryo replied
as he staggered out of the room.
There had to be a reason why someone stole the body. Did they
overlooked something and missed an important evidence in his
body? That's the only reason why anyone would steal his dead
body. To hide something that could have exposed the murder,
exposed the method in which Eiji was killed.
Grabbing a phone, Ryo had called the operator and asked her to
trace a call for him, to get the last person Eiji had called
from anywhere, any phone.
Grabbing a phone, he asked for the list of the people who had
come into contact with Eiji within the last month, everybody who
had talked to him or touched him or anywhere that could have
given them a knowledge of Eiji's existence outside or inside the
net.
It took him till now to get all the information processed, all
the information read and figured out. The names was almost
infinite, Eiji had worked at a hotel after all, and to interview
all of them would take days, probably even weeks.
But the hotel agreed to help him, and Ryo was heading down
today, as soon as that '7:00 AM' light flashed on his alarm
clock, buzzing him to be awake.
Ryo still couldn't fall asleep tonight. |
