It was easy to find Eiji Shinrow's online perusings, as he leaves his mark almost everywhere. His internet name, Tom Lin, appears in almost every site Ryo visits. He wrote his little personal thoughts in a site named livejournal, a blog site, and then wrote even more thinkings in his other blog journal, at Xanga. There was even a site he left behind of his own writings, drawings, and little comics he drew here and there. In his site, there was even an attempt he did to draw a comic everyday summarizing his day titled "Life in 3 panels", in where he attempted to draw the funniest things he could remember from that day in three easy digestible panels.
That, just like his other works, never finished.
In his livejournals, he spoke how he wanted to draw his days in three panels to remind himself of the good things that happened to him that day, to remind him that life wasn't all a waste and a loss. In his Xangas, he thought of the flaws and failures that he was, all the things that he hated himself.
"It's funny that my memory is so bad that I have to use a combination of Xanga and LJ in order to remember my own life", he wrote in his livejournal. "Today's entry is brought to you by a soulless man, one whose face is replaced by a number, a scannable bar, another body into the entire mess." It read. "I don't wanna go through aimless relationships and one-night stands over and over again, I'm sick of not knowing what I want and what I should do."
Mixed with lyrics of songs both happy and depressing, it felt like he was chronicling his life as an autobiography film.
His real life persona was less easy to find though, barely leaving behind any photos that would actually show himself as an actual living person. Ryo had to dig through lots of research in order to come up with a few photos of himself, and none of them were recent, none of them owned by himself.
It's as if Eiji was just a shell for Tom, something that's just there as he earned a way to sustain his life on the net.
It's as if Eiji was dead already before he died.
