The day felt like a waste, just sitting around, watching
television, watching the time go by, watching the seconds tick,
tick, tick away.
Staring at the clock, time seems to go slower.
Ryo tried to get out of the house, but for some reason, his
energy will sap away as soon as he got dressed and ready to head
out the door.
Always ending up on the couch, always ending up with the TV on.
The excitement of waiting for the appointed time prevented him
from taking a nap, or sleeping at all. Ryo stayed up the entire
night staring at the ceiling, watching the shadows slowly
lighten up with the dawn of a new day.
What would he say to him. What would he feel when he see him.
It's sort of a relief that this case was finally going to be
coming to an end, yet at the same time, Ryo felt empty. It's as
if he was afraid to see this to an end, afraid that the end of
the case may be an end to everything else in life.
Just like every case that he's ever had to handle in his life.
Once you've been so involved in something, when it ends, you
feel like there's this sudden hole in your daily life, one that
you don't know how to fill it up with.
The end that you were wishing for wasn't the end that you
expected.
Staring up at the clock, he wondered how this would all end.
Nine forty-four in the evening still.
Only an hour or so before he starts preparing to get ready,
preparing himself for the end.
Ryo wondered which kind of attire should he wear for this
occasion. |
